Key responsibilities

• Sales and business development: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, develop and execute strategic sales plans, and achieve revenue targets.

• Client management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients. This includes visiting potential and existing customers to promote services.

• Market analysis: Conduct market research to identify opportunities, analyze market trends, and assess the competition.

• Proposal and negotiation: Prepare and present sales proposals, quotes, and contracts to prospective clients. Negotiate and close deals.

• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, such as operations, logistics, and shipping departments, to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.

• Reporting: Track sales performance, prepare forecasts, budgets, and reports for management, and adjust strategies as needed.

• Industry knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to provide informed insights to clients. 

Required skills and experience

• Experience in sales, particularly within the logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

• Ability to identify and generate leads.

• Proficiency in using CRM systems and generating reports.

• Familiarity with specific logistics services like air freight, warehousing, or customs clearance is often required.
