JOB DESCRIPTION – Field Sales Expert (Textile Industry)
The Field Sales Expert is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting the company’s textile products in the assigned territory. This role combines technical product knowledge with strong sales skills to meet customer needs and achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the textile sector (e.g., garments, home textiles, industrial fabrics, retailers, distributors).
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Develop and execute strategic field sales plans to expand market presence.
Conduct market analysis to identify customer needs, competitor activities, and emerging trends.
2. Customer Relationship Management
Maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
Conduct regular customer visits, product presentations, and follow-up meetings.
Address customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns promptly.
Provide customized textile solutions and recommend suitable products based on customer requirements.
3. Product Expertise
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of textile products, including fabric types, yarns, dyes, finishes, production processes, and quality standards.
Provide customers with technical product information and guidance.
Collaborate with the production and quality teams to ensure product specifications meet client needs.
4. Reporting & Documentation
Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, and territory updates.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and market insights.
Track order status, deliveries, and payment collection in coordination with internal teams.
Qualifications & Skills
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Textiles, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven field sales experience in the textile or apparel industry (2+ years preferred).
Strong network within garment manufacturers, buying houses, mills, or distributors.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Preferred
Knowledge of textile production processes, quality testing, and material specifications.
Familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting platforms.
