Job Summary
The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales of textile machinery by identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. The role involves technical sales, market development, customer support, and coordination with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Promote and sell textile machinery (e.g., spinning, weaving, knitting, processing, finishing machinery).
Identify and develop new customers in domestic and/or international markets.
Achieve assigned sales targets in terms of revenue, volume, and market penetration.
Conduct market research to identify customer needs, competitor activity, and emerging trends.
Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain long-term relationships with textile mills, factories, and key decision-makers.
Conduct customer visits, product presentations, and technical discussions.
Prepare and negotiate commercial offers, quotations, and contracts.
Handle customer inquiries, objections, and follow-ups effectively.
Technical & Product Support
Understand technical specifications and applications of textile machinery.
Coordinate with engineering and service teams to provide technical solutions.
Support customers during installation, commissioning, and after-sales phases when required.
Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate with production, dispatch, and service teams to ensure timely delivery.
Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and customer data.
Prepare regular sales reports, market feedback, and competitor analysis.
Participate in exhibitions, trade fairs, and industry events.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering, or related field.
MBA / Postgraduate qualification in Sales & Marketing is an added advantage.
Experience
1–5 years of sales experience in textile machinery, industrial machinery, or capital equipment.
Experience dealing with textile mills and manufacturing units preferred.
