Sales Manager – Brand & Influencer Marketing
Company: Sponsogram
Role: Sales Manager / Business Development Manager
Experience: 2–5 years
Employment: Full-time
Location: Mumbai / Delhi NCR / Hybrid
About Sponsogram
Sponsogram is building the future of creator-led marketing. We help brands leverage influencer marketing, social media marketing, content creation, and creator-led campaigns to reach the right audiences and drive measurable business outcomes.
Our vision goes beyond being a traditional influencer marketing agency. We are building a technology-driven Marketing Operating System that connects brands, creators, agencies, and marketing workflows.
We are now looking for a Sales Manager who can help us acquire high-quality B2B clients and build a scalable sales function.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly driven, target-oriented sales professional who can generate, manage, and close B2B business opportunities for Sponsogram.
You will identify and acquire brands, D2C companies, startups, agencies, and businesses looking for services such as:
Influencer Marketing
Social Media Marketing & Strategy
Creator Marketing
Content Marketing
Digital Marketing Consultancy
Influencer Campaign Management
Brand & Creator Collaborations
This is an end-to-end sales role. You will own the process from prospecting and lead generation to discovery calls, pitching, negotiation, closing, and relationship management.
A major part of the role will also be to build and strengthen Sponsogram's sales team. You will train team members, establish sales processes, create SOPs, review performance, and help build a predictable sales pipeline.
We are looking for someone who can sell, build, and teach.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
Identify and research potential brands, D2C companies, startups, agencies, and marketing teams.
Build and maintain a strong B2B prospect pipeline.
Generate leads through LinkedIn, email, cold calling, networking, referrals, events, and other channels.
Identify and build relationships with Founders, CMOs, Marketing Heads, Brand Managers, and Social Media Heads.
Conduct outbound prospecting and convert prospects into qualified opportunities.
Sales & Closing
Understand client business objectives, marketing challenges, budgets, and requirements.
Conduct discovery calls, meetings, and sales presentations.
Work with the internal team to create relevant marketing proposals and solutions.
Present Sponsogram's capabilities, campaign ideas, and proposals to prospective clients.
Handle objections, negotiate commercials, and close deals.
Own the complete sales cycle from first contact to signed agreement.
Consistently achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
Client Relationship & Revenue Growth
Focus on acquiring long-term and recurring clients, not just one-time campaigns.
Build strong relationships with key decision-makers.
Identify upselling, cross-selling, and recurring campaign opportunities.
Understand clients' upcoming marketing calendars and budgets.
Convert successful campaigns into long-term partnerships and retainers.
Maintain strong coordination with the execution team after closing.
Sales Process & Strategy
Help build Sponsogram's sales process and CRM pipeline from the ground up.
Define lead qualification criteria, sales stages, and follow-up systems.
Develop outreach strategies, pitch frameworks, objection-handling methods, and sales SOPs.
Track pipeline value, conversion rates, deal size, sales cycle, and revenue.
Identify bottlenecks and continuously improve the sales funnel.
Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to the founders.
Team Training & Management
Train team members on prospecting, cold outreach, discovery calls, pitching, negotiation, and closing.
Conduct mock sales calls and review real sales conversations.
Create sales playbooks and training material.
Set team and individual targets.
Conduct weekly pipeline and performance reviews.
Mentor junior sales team members.
Eventually build, hire, and manage a larger sales team.
Must-Have Requirements
2–5 years of proven B2B sales / business development experience.
Demonstrated ability to independently generate and close new business.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Experience managing the complete sales cycle.
Comfortable speaking with founders and senior marketing decision-makers.
Strong understanding of sales funnels, pipelines, CRM, and revenue metrics.
Experience working with targets and measurable sales KPIs.
Ability to train, mentor, or manage other sales professionals.
High ownership, entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience selling influencer marketing, digital marketing, social media marketing, advertising, marketing consultancy, content marketing, creator services, agency services, or SaaS/B2B services will be strongly preferred.
Existing relationships with brands, D2C companies, startups, agencies, or marketing decision-makers will be a major advantage.
What We Expect From You
This is not a role where success means simply making calls or generating leads.
We expect you to bring revenue to Sponsogram.
You should be able to:
Find the right prospects.
Start meaningful conversations.
Understand business problems.
Pitch the right solution.
Negotiate confidently.
Close deals.
Build long-term accounts.
Teach the team how to repeat the process.
Why Join Sponsogram?
You will not simply inherit an existing sales machine. You will have the opportunity to build Sponsogram's B2B sales function from the ground up, work closely with the founding team, acquire major brand relationships, establish sales systems, train a team, and grow into a larger sales leadership position as the company scales.
Career progression: Sales Manager → Senior Sales Manager → Head of Sales / Business Development
If you can sell, build, and teach — we want to hear from you.
