Mechanical Sales Engineer

Job Summary
The Mechanical Sales Engineer is responsible for supporting the sales team by preparing quotations, handling customer inquiries, and providing technical support related to mechanical products and solutions. The role involves close coordination with engineering, production, and external sales teams to ensure timely and accurate responses to customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Handle inbound customer inquiries and provide technical and commercial support.
Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, and cost estimates.
Interpret customer drawings, specifications, and RFQs.
Coordinate with design, production, and procurement teams for feasibility and pricing.
Maintain customer records, sales data, and documentation in CRM systems.
Support external sales team with technical details and product information.
Track orders from quotation to delivery and resolve customer issues.
Participate in customer meetings (virtual or in-person) as required.
Assist in identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
0–5 years of experience in inside sales or technical sales (manufacturing/engineering preferred).
Strong understanding of mechanical components, machining, fabrication, or industrial products.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Basic knowledge of costing, margins, and commercial terms.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and CRM tools.
