Job Description for Reg: VJN-4-00110-2016-2017 Community Engagement Coordinator Job Summary We're seeking a dynamic and community-focused individual to coordinate student community programs and activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating programs that promote student engagement, community building, and social responsibility. Key Responsibilities: 1. Program Development: Design, plan, and implement student community programs, events, and activities that promote student engagement, inclusivity, and diversity. 2. Student Engagement: Foster relationships with student leaders, clubs, and organizations to promote community programs and services. 3. Community Building: Develop and implement initiatives that promote community building, social cohesion, and student well-being. 4. Event Planning: Coordinate logistics, marketing, and evaluation for student community events, including concerts, festivals, and cultural celebrations. 5. Leadership Development: Provide training, guidance, and support to student leaders and clubs to enhance their leadership skills and community engagement. 6. Collaboration: Work with campus departments, faculty, and staff to promote student community programs and services. 7. Assessment and Evaluation: Monitor, evaluate, and report on program outcomes, impact, and effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement. Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, or related field. 2. 2 -3 years of experience in student affairs, community development, or related field. 3. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. 4. Ability to work independently and as part ofa team. 5. Experience working with diverse student populations. 6. Familiarity with student development theory and community engagement principles. 7. Basic Computer Skills (MS Office, please refer to the link here for the checklist of required skills). Desirable Qualifications: 1. Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, or related field. 2. Experience with program evaluation, assessment, and research. 3. Knowledge of student leadership development and community engagement strategies. 4. Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation. 5. Certification in student affairs, community development, or related field.
