A Medical Representative (MR) is responsible for promoting and selling pharmaceutical products to doctors, chemists, and healthcare professionals. The role involves building strong customer relationships, increasing product awareness, and achieving sales targets within the assigned territory.
Promote and sell assigned pharmaceutical products to doctors, clinics, and hospitals.
Conduct product detailing and presentations to healthcare professionals.
Generate prescriptions and achieve monthly sales targets.
Promote new product launches and marketing campaigns.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with doctors and chemists.
Regularly visit customers as per the company’s call average guidelines.
Address customer queries and ensure high satisfaction.
Manage and expand business within the assigned territory.
Identify new business opportunities and potential customers.
Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
Maintain daily call reports, doctor lists, and chemist lists.
Update sales performance and market feedback.
Submit monthly target vs. achievement data.
Gain deep understanding of pharmaceutical products, indications, dosage, benefits, and competitor brands.
Attend training sessions, workshops, and product knowledge meetings.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong negotiation and sales skills
Good knowledge of pharma products and medical terminology
Ability to work independently and manage time
Relationship-building and customer service skills
Basic computer proficiency (MS Office)
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Science, or any related field
MBA in Marketing (preferred but not mandatory)
