Role Overview
The Sales Officer will be responsible for driving business growth through new customer acquisition, effective field sales activities, and superior customer engagement. The role requires a strong understanding of gold loan processes, local market dynamics, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate should be energetic, target-driven, and customer-focused with high field mobility.
Key Responsibilities
1. New Customer Acquisition
Identify and onboard new customers for gold loan products through field visits, referral networks, and local promotional activities.
Generate leads and convert prospects into active customers within the assigned territory.
2. Client Engagement & Product Presentation
Conduct face-to-face customer meetings to explain gold loan products, features, and benefits.
Deliver effective product presentations to maximize conversions and business value.
3. Sales Strategy Execution
Implement company-defined sales and marketing strategies to achieve business targets.
Execute territory-level initiatives aligned with organizational growth objectives.
4. Relationship Management & Service Excellence
Build and maintain long-term customer relationships by providing timely service and post-disbursement support.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
5. Operational & Compliance Management
Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements, internal SOPs, and documentation standards.
Handle KYC verification, loan documentation, and process execution accurately.
6. Gold Evaluation & Verification
Assess gold ornaments for purity, weight, and karat value using approved tools and standard testing methods.
Ensure accurate valuation as per company and regulatory guidelines.
7. Market Intelligence & Product Knowledge
Stay updated on gold loan policies, lending norms, competitor offerings, and market trends.
Provide feedback on market insights to support business planning.
8. Bank Relationship & Balance Transfer Management
Coordinate with partner banks for business development and customer engagement.
Manage end-to-end gold loan balance transfer cases, including coordination, disbursement, and settlement.
Candidate Preferences
1st Preference: Candidates from Gold Loan companies
2nd Preference: Candidates with any product-based field sales experience
3rd Preference: Freshers with strong sales aptitude and willingness for field work
Ideal Candidate Profile
0–3 years of experience in field sales (Gold Loans, NBFCs, Financial Services, Microfinance preferred).
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build trust-based relationships in local markets.
Working knowledge of gold evaluation, KYC processes, and loan documentation is an added advantage.
Highly energetic, self-motivated, and target-oriented.
