Position Overview:
The Sales Officer / Relationship Manager (Micro LAP) is responsible for sourcing high-quality secured business loan (Micro LAP) cases, managing customer relationships, and ensuring smooth coordination with credit and operations teams. The role involves field sourcing, customer assessment, PD coordination, documentation support, and end-to-end handling of loan applications to drive branch-level business growth while maintaining portfolio quality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Sourcing & Lead Generation
· Source Micro LAP (Secured Business Loan) customers through DSAs, connectors, channel partners, field visits, and direct outreach.
· Identify eligible self-employed customers with property-backed funding needs.
· Achieve monthly sourcing and login targets.
2. Customer Assessment & Pre-Screening
· Conduct primary customer assessment, including business profiling, income understanding, and repayment feasibility.
· Perform site visits and collect preliminary information before sending for credit underwriting.
3. Documentation & Application Handling
· Ensure accurate collection of all required documents—KYC, income proofs, bank statements, property papers, etc.
· Coordinate with customers to resolve document gaps and ensure file completeness.
4. PD, Legal & Technical Coordination
· Support and coordinate PD visits, RCU checks, legal scrutiny, and technical valuation.
· Ensure seamless communication between customer, credit, and operations teams.
5. Customer Relationship & Query Handling
· Maintain ongoing customer engagement from sourcing to disbursement.
· Provide timely updates, clarify loan terms, and ensure transparency throughout the process.
6. Collection Support (Early Buckets Only)
· Assist in early-stage follow-ups if required to maintain healthy repayment behaviour.
· Highlight potential risk cases to the credit and collections team.
7. Branch-Level Collaboration
· Work closely with branch credit, ops, collections, and leadership to ensure smooth file processing.
· Resolve queries promptly to avoid TAT delays.
8. Market & Competitor Intelligence
· Stay updated on local market trends, property values, and competitor pricing.
· Identify new sourcing clusters and business pockets.
Qualifications and Experience
1. Education: HSC / Graduate (Preferred: Commerce, Finance, or Business).
2. Experience: 2–4 years in Micro LAP / LAP / HL sales.
3. Strong network in Mumbai & nearby regions
4. Good knowledge of property types: Gaothan, Sale Deed, SRA, Slum, Tin Shade, Society, etc.
5. Strong communication, negotiation & follow-up skills
6. Self-motivated, field-driven & target-oriented
7. Language - Marathi, Hindi, English. Any additional language is a plus
8. Ability to work in a field-intensive and target-driven environment.
9. Familiarity with basic credit concepts and Micro LAP documentation.
Technical & Functional Skills
1. Understanding of required KYC, income docs, banking analysis basics, and property papers.
2. Basic MS Excel, WhatsApp/email communication, and loan application handling.
3. Knowledge of local customer segments, brokers, DSAs, and sourcing channels.
4. Ability to convince customers, explain financial products, and close deals.
5. Ability to follow internal credit policy, documentation norms, and regulatory requirements.
