About SMD Labs

SMD Labs supplies laboratory chemicals, analytical reagents, reference standards, chromatography consumables and laboratory equipment to pharmaceutical companies, research institutes, universities, government laboratories and industrial customers.

We are looking for a motivated and result-oriented Field Sales Executive who can develop new customers, generate business opportunities and build long-term relationships with laboratories and institutional buyers.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, research institutes, universities and industrial customers to generate sales.

• Identify new customers and develop business opportunities in the assigned territory.

• Meet scientists, purchase managers, laboratory managers and procurement teams to understand their requirements.

• Promote and sell laboratory chemicals, reagents, reference standards, consumables and equipment.

• Generate leads through field visits, cold calling and customer references.

• Follow up on quotations, pending orders and new business enquiries.

• Coordinate with the office team for quotations, pricing and product availability.

• Maintain regular contact with existing customers and develop repeat business.

• Track customer visits, enquiries, sales pipeline and daily activities.

• Achieve monthly sales targets and expand the company's customer base.

• Follow up with customers for outstanding payments when required.

Candidate Requirements

• Graduate in any discipline; B.Sc. or B.Com preferred.

• 1–3 years of experience in field sales, B2B sales or institutional sales preferred.

• Experience in laboratory chemicals, scientific equipment, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies or industrial products will be an advantage.

• Good communication and negotiation skills.

• Comfortable with daily field visits and meeting new customers.

• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

• Basic knowledge of MS Excel, email and sales reporting.

• Self-motivated, disciplined and focused on achieving targets.

Freshers with strong communication skills, confidence and a genuine interest in field sales may also be considered.
