ob Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Sales Engineer – Pump Division to drive sales of industrial and commercial pumping solutions. The candidate will be responsible for lead generation, customer visits, technical discussions, quotation preparation, order booking, and payment follow-up across industrial, commercial, institutional, and government sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Identify and develop new customers in industries, commercial buildings, contractors, consultants, and government departments.
Generate enquiries for water supply, sewage, firefighting, HVAC, pressure boosting, and industrial pump applications.
Conduct regular customer visits and maintain strong relationships.
Technical Sales
Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable pump solutions.
Coordinate with OEMs and internal teams for technical selection.
Prepare techno-commercial proposals and quotations.
Participate in technical discussions and negotiations.
Order & Revenue Management
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
Convert enquiries into orders.
Track project progress and ensure timely order execution.
Follow up for payments and collections.
Market Intelligence
Monitor competitor activities and pricing.
Identify upcoming projects and tender opportunities.
Maintain customer database and sales pipeline.
Key Requirements
Educational Qualification
Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related engineering discipline.
Experience
2–6 years in pump sales, industrial equipment sales, HVAC, firefighting, water treatment, or project sales.
Experience with brands such as Kirloskar, Grundfos, KSB, CRI, Wilo, Lubi, Texmo, etc. will be preferred.
Skills
Technical understanding of pump applications.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of MS Office and quotation preparation.
Ability to travel extensively.
Customer-oriented and target-driven approach.
