Role Summary
The Collection Officer will be responsible for managing overdue corporate accounts, following up with clients for timely repayments, conducting field visits when required, and ensuring structured recovery of outstanding dues. The role demands professionalism, negotiation skills, and the ability to handle sensitive financial discussions.
Key Responsibilities
Track and monitor overdue corporate accounts
Follow up via calls, emails, and in-person visits
Visit client offices for recovery discussions when required
Negotiate structured repayment plans in coordination with management
Maintain accurate records of communications and recovery progress
Prepare daily/weekly recovery reports
Escalate critical cases to senior management or legal advisors
Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical recovery practices
Maintain strong and professional client relationships
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
1–4 years of experience in collections, recovery, or credit control (B2B preferred)
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Professional, firm, and confident personality
Willingness to travel for client visits
Basic understanding of financial statements and loan structures
Preferred Skills
Experience in corporate lending or structured finance
Ability to handle high-value accounts
Knowledge of secured and unsecured loan recovery processes
Strong documentation and reporting skills
