DCA Responsibilities in Loan Collection
A Debt Collection Agency (DCA) is responsible for collecting overdue loan payments on behalf of banks and NBFCs. Its duties include contacting borrowers, reminding them about pending EMIs, following up on payment commitments, explaining repayment options, maintaining collection records, and reporting recovery status to the lender. A DCA must protect customer information, behave professionally, and follow applicable RBI guidelines and legal requirements without harassment or intimidation.
