About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Business Development professional with 5–10 years of experience in Government Projects, Tender Business, Presales, and Post-Sales.
The candidate should have hands-on experience in identifying government business opportunities, participating in tenders, preparing bids and proposals, coordinating with internal teams, and managing projects after order execution. The ideal candidate should also be comfortable using MS Advanced Excel, new-age technologies, and AI tools to improve business development, reporting, market research, proposal preparation, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Government Projects
Identify and develop new business opportunities in Government/PSU/Institutional sectors.
Develop and maintain relationships with government departments, PSUs, consultants, system integrators, and other key stakeholders.
Track upcoming government projects, tenders, RFPs, EOI, RFQs, and procurement opportunities.
Understand tender requirements, eligibility criteria, technical specifications, commercial terms, and submission timelines.
Manage the complete presales cycle, from opportunity identification to tender submission and order conversion.
Coordinate with technical, finance, legal, procurement, and operations teams for bid preparation.
Prepare and review technical and commercial proposals, presentations, compliance sheets, BOQs, and tender documentation.
Monitor competitors, market trends, government initiatives, and emerging technologies.
Post-Sales & Project Coordination
Manage customer relationships after order receipt and ensure smooth project execution.
Coordinate with internal project/operations teams for timely delivery and implementation.
Handle customer communication, documentation, MIS, project updates, and issue resolution.
Identify opportunities for repeat business, additional orders, AMC/renewals, and cross-selling/up-selling.
Maintain strong relationships with existing government customers and stakeholders.
Reporting & Data Analysis
Prepare regular sales reports, tender trackers, opportunity pipelines, MIS, forecasts, and management dashboards.
Use MS Advanced Excel for data analysis, reporting, tracking, and business planning.
Maintain accurate records of leads, tenders, quotations, orders, customer interactions, and project status.
Analyze sales and tender data to identify business opportunities and improve conversion.
Technology & AI Tools
Leverage AI tools and new technologies for market research, lead generation, proposal preparation, competitor analysis, documentation, and productivity.
Stay updated with emerging technologies relevant to the company's products/services and government procurement.
Demonstrate willingness to adopt digital tools to improve business development and reporting processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Graduate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
5–10 years of relevant experience in Business Development/Sales, preferably involving Government/PSU projects and tenders.
Hands-on experience in Government Tender Presales and Post-Sales.
Strong understanding of the government procurement and tendering process.
Experience in preparing bids, proposals, compliance documents, BOQs, and commercial submissions.
Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
Advanced MS Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis, dashboards, and reporting.
Working knowledge of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, or similar productivity tools.
Good understanding of new technologies and digital solutions.
Strong follow-up, coordination, documentation, and analytical abilities.
Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Willingness to travel for client meetings, government offices, project sites, and business development activities as required.

Compensation
₹25,000 – ₹40,000 per month, depending on relevant experience, skills, and interview performance.
