Job Title: Business Analyst (LMS & School Transformation) Experience: 5–7 Years Location: Bangalore (Hybrid) Reports to: Product Manager The Role We are looking for a Business Analyst who can bridge the gap between our high-level product vision and the execution of our Engineering team. You will be a key driver in our product development lifecycle, serving as the subject matter expert on how schools actually function. Your goal is to make our development process airtight by vetting every requirement before it hits production. Key responsibilities Translate complex business needs into granular functional specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria. You own the "Definition of Ready" for the engineering team. Map "as-is" vs. "to-be" workflows for user roles. You’ll be the person who figures out how things actually works in the system. Create and maintain artifacts for product logic, including data mapping, integration specs, and business rule catalogues. Act as the "on-call" expert for engineering during sprints. You’ll eliminate ambiguity at the story level so developers can code without friction. Keep the sprint backlog healthy. You’ll pre-emptively identify logic gaps or edge cases that would otherwise stall development or cause rework. Collaborate with Customer Success to turn client feedback into actionable BRDs and solution outlines. Define test cases and lead User Acceptance Testing to ensure that what we build actually delivers the value we promised to the schools. Required qualifications 5+ years in a BA role, ideally within EdTech or a B2B SaaS environment. You’ve seen multiple product lifecycles. You are an expert at creating flowcharts, wireframes, and sequence diagrams (using tools like Lucidchart, Miro, or Visio) to explain complex logic. You don't need to code, but you should be familiar with API-based integrations, data mapping, and system-to-system data flows, working closely with integration and engineering teams. Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, including writing user stories and supporting backlog refinement. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate workshops and align multiple stakeholder groups. You don't just document what you're told; you proactively look for what might break and suggest better ways to solve the problem. Preferred Qualifications Direct experience in higher-ed ecosystems, focusing on the teacher and student lifecycle. A strong grasp of AI-driven workflows and intelligent automation. A good foundational understanding of education-specific data privacy standards, including GDPR etc. and the practical application within a product framework. Experience sitting at the intersection of Product and Sales. You’ve successfully led discovery phases for complex implementations and helped shape "pre-sales" solutions that are technically viable.
