Job Title: Area Sales Manager / Zonal Sales Manager – Solar Inverter (Grid-Tie, Hybrid, Off-Grid)

Experience Required: 5-12 years in Solar Industry, especially Solar Inverter (Grid-Tie, Hybrid, Off-Grid) Sales
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Area/Zonal Sales Manager to lead and manage sales for Solar Inverter (Grid-Tie, Hybrid, Off-Grid) in the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the solar energy market, strong distribution/channel management skills, and a proven track record in sales of solar components, particularly inverters.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Target Achievement:
Develop and implement zonal/area-wise sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
Identify new business opportunities and expand the existing customer base.
Channel & Distribution Management:
Appoint, onboard, and manage distributors/dealers/system integrators.
Provide sales support and training to channel partners to increase product penetration.
Market Development:
Analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs to identify growth areas.
Conduct market mapping and customer segmentation.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build strong relationships with key clients including EPC companies, solar installers, and industrial/commercial end users.
Provide pre- and post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction.
Product Promotion & Branding:
Organize product presentations, seminars, and workshops for clients and channel partners.
Coordinate with the marketing team to drive brand visibility in the region.
Reporting & MIS:
Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
Submit periodic reports to senior management on performance metrics and market feedback.
Technical Coordination:
Work closely with the technical team to understand product features and communicate them effectively.
Support resolution of any technical issues related to product performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering, MBA preferred.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in sales of Solar Inverter (Grid-Tie, Hybrid, Off-Grid) or related solar components (modules, batteries, BOS).
Strong network within the solar industry.
Key Skills:
Deep knowledge of Solar Inverter (Grid-Tie, Hybrid, Off-Grid) products and applications.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel extensively within the zone.
Preferred Brands/Experience:
Experience with reputed inverter brands (e.g., Eastman, UTL, Statcon, Luminous, Microtek, etc.) will be an added advantage.
