Key Responsibilities - Conduct regular field visits to identify and acquire new customers. - Approach builders, contractors, fabricators, manufacturers, dealers, and other potential steel buyers. - Collect customer contact details, research the market, generate leads, and maintain an updated customer database. - Independently handle prospecting, customer meetings, follow-ups, negotiations, and order closures. - Understand customer requirements and coordinate with the office team for quotations, pricing, stock availability, and deliveries. - Achieve monthly sales targets set by management. - Build customer relationships to generate repeat orders and referrals. - Submit daily field visit updates and regular reports on leads, enquiries, orders, and target achievement to the Marketing Head. - Monitor market demand and competitor pricing. - Coordinate customer payment follow-ups with the accounts team. Required Experience & Skills - Field sales experience in the steel industry is strongly preferred; relevant manufacturing industry experience will also be considered. - Good communication skills in English, Kannada, and Hindi. - Strong negotiation, customer acquisition, and follow-up skills. - Ability to independently collect customer data, generate leads, and convert enquiries into sales. - Willingness to travel regularly for field visits and customer meetings. - Ability to work towards monthly sales targets. - Basic knowledge of Excel and maintaining customer records and sales reports. - Knowledge of steel products and an existing customer network will be an a
