Area Sales Officer

1. Retail Pharmacy Coverage

• Visit assigned pharmacies, chemists, and retail outlets daily as per route plans.

• Generate and collect orders from retailers.

• Increase product penetration and wallet share from existing customers.

• Identify and onboard new retail customers.

2. Sales & Business Growth

• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.

• Drive primary and secondary sales growth.

• Increase market share within the assigned territory.

• Promote new product launches and schemes.

3. Relationship Management

• Build strong relationships with pharmacy owners and purchasing staff.

• Resolve customer issues related to supply, pricing, and service.

• Maintain high customer satisfaction and retention.

4. Distribution & Operations Support

• Coordinate with distributors and logistics teams to ensure product availability.

• Support timely deliveries when required.

• Monitor stock levels and prevent stock-outs at retail outlets.

5. Collections & Payment Follow-up

• Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.

• Monitor retailer credit limits.

• Reduce overdue receivables in the territory.

6. Market Intelligence

• Track competitor activities, pricing, and promotional schemes.

• Gather market feedback and identify growth opportunities.

• Submit regular sales and market reports.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Graduate in any discipline (B.Com, BBA, BA preferred).

• MBA in Sales/Marketing is an advantage for growth roles.

Experience

• 0–2 years of field sales experience.

• Experience in pharma distribution, FMCG, healthcare sales, or retail sales preferred.

• Freshers may also be considered by some companies.
