We are looking for an experienced and target-driven Area Sales Manager / Branch Sales Manager (ASM/BSM) to drive business growth, market development, customer acquisition, and portfolio quality across the assigned geography.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in lending, NBFC, banking, business loans, MSME finance, LAP, or channel-led sales. The candidate should be comfortable with field sales, relationship management, lead generation, team handling, collections coordination, and achieving business targets.
This is a high-ownership role requiring a strong hunter mindset, relationship-building ability, market knowledge, and compliance-focused approach.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual disbursement targets for the assigned territory or branch.
Develop sales through contractor networks, referrals, field visits, parent company teams, local connectors, and market relationships.
Generate and convert qualified leads while maintaining sourcing and credit quality.
Identify new business opportunities, underserved customer segments, and repeat-business opportunities.
Monitor lead funnel, conversion ratios, rejection reasons, and customer drop-offs.
Drive revenue through processing fees, cross-selling, renewals, top-up opportunities, and repeat business wherever applicable.
Build strong relationships with contractors, channel partners, parent company employees, field teams, customers, and local influencers.
Conduct contractor meetings, field campaigns, customer engagement programs, and market visits.
Increase brand visibility and build trust within the contractor and MSME community.
Generate referral-based and relationship-led business through structured follow-ups.
Provide market intelligence regarding customer requirements, competitors, pricing, documentation challenges, and product opportunities.
Guide and monitor Sales Executives, Field Officers, Relationship Managers, and channel partners, wherever applicable.
Set daily activity plans, productivity expectations, customer meeting targets, and follow-up schedules.
Coach team members on lead qualification, customer pitching, documentation, objection handling, and responsible sourcing.
Review productivity, pending cases, sanctions, disbursements, and collection coordination regularly.
Conduct market visits and implement corrective action plans to improve team performance.
Ensure strong collection efficiency and timely customer repayments.
Monitor portfolio health, overdue trends, repayment behavior, and early-warning indicators.
Coordinate with Collection, Credit, Operations, IT, and other teams to resolve repayment and documentation issues.
Support proactive recovery and field-level intervention wherever required.
Minimize PAR, bounce cases, roll-forward risk, and credit losses through responsible sourcing and portfolio monitoring.
Ensure compliance with KYC, documentation, credit policies, internal processes, audit requirements, and applicable regulations.
Coordinate with Credit, Operations, Risk, Legal, Collections, and Head Office teams for smooth loan processing.
Ensure timely login, sanction, disbursement, and customer servicing.
Maintain accurate MIS, customer records, visit reports, pipeline updates, and business review reports.
Ensure ethical selling and transparent customer communication with zero tolerance for misrepresentation or policy violations.
Improve turnaround time without compromising documentation quality, compliance, or credit standards.
Graduate or MBA/PGDM preferred.
BSM: 5–10 years of relevant experience.
ASM: 7–12 years of relevant experience.
At least 2 years of team or territory-handling experience for senior positions.
Experience in NBFC, Banking, Business Loans, MSME Finance, LAP, Microfinance, Secured/Unsecured Lending, or Contractor/Channel-led Finance is preferred.
Proven track record of achieving sales and disbursement targets.
Strong field sales and local market knowledge.
Excellent customer relationship, negotiation, and communication skills.
Strong understanding of lead generation, sales conversion, and portfolio management.
Comfortable working in a target-driven and high-ownership environment.

Avoid candidates with only desk-based sales experience unless they can demonstrate strong field execution and customer acquisition capabilities.
