About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cutting & Stitching Master to oversee garment cutting and stitching operations. The role involves ensuring accurate fabric utilization, maintaining production quality standards, supervising tailors and helpers, and achieving daily production targets while minimizing wastage.

Key Responsibilities

Cutting Operations

• Plan and execute fabric cutting as per approved patterns and production schedules.

• Ensure proper fabric consumption and minimize material wastage.

• Verify measurements, markers, and cutting accuracy before production.

• Coordinate with the merchandising and production teams regarding fabric requirements.

Stitching Operations

• Supervise stitching activities to ensure garments are produced according to approved specifications.

• Guide tailors and machine operators on construction methods and quality standards.

• Resolve stitching-related technical issues and provide training when required.

• Monitor production efficiency and ensure timely completion of orders.

Quality Control

• Conduct in-line quality checks during cutting and stitching processes.

• Ensure garments meet fit, measurement, and finishing standards.

• Identify defects and implement corrective actions to reduce rework.

Team Management

• Manage and supervise tailors, cutting staff, helpers, and machine operators.

• Allocate work efficiently to maximize productivity.

• Maintain discipline, attendance, and workflow within the production team.

Production Planning

• Monitor daily production targets and report progress to management.

• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth production flow.

• Maintain records of production output, fabric consumption, and wastage.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Garment Manufacturing, Fashion Technology, or a related field preferred.

• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in garment cutting and stitching operations.

• Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern reading, grading, and fabric behavior.

• Experience in handling industrial sewing machines and production teams.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
