Fashion Merchandiser

1. Order & Production Coordination

• Assist in handling buyer orders from sampling to final shipment.

• Prepare and maintain Time & Action (T&A) calendars for production.

• Coordinate with internal departments (design, sampling, production, and quality) to ensure smooth workflow.

2. Fabric & Trims Management

• Follow up with suppliers for fabric, trims, and accessories required for production.

• Ensure materials are received as per quality standards and timelines.

3. Sampling Follow-ups

• Coordinate development of proto samples, fit samples, and pre-production samples (PPS).

• Track sample approvals and maintain records.

4. Vendor & Factory Communication

• Liaise with vendors, embroidery units and stitching units.

• Monitor production status and resolve delays or issues.

5. Production Tracking

• Track daily production status against planned quantities.

• Update reports and communicate progress to seniors.

6. Quality & Compliance Support

• Assist the quality team in maintaining quality standards.

• Ensure production follows approved samples and specifications.

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain production files, purchase orders, and material records.

• Prepare weekly reports on production progress.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of women’s ethnic garments (Kurtis, suits, etc.)

• Understanding of fabric types, embroidery, and trims

• Good coordination and communication skills

• Basic Excel and reporting skills

• Ability to work with multiple vendors and teams

• 2–5 years of experience in apparel merchandising or production
