Key Responsibilities

▸ Design gym and sports apparel for men — including T-shirts, track pants, shorts, joggers, and performance wear.

▸ Develop design patterns, tech packs, and detailed garment specifications.

▸ Research the latest trends in activewear, sportswear, and men's fashion to keep collections fresh.

▸ Work closely with the production and merchandising team to translate designs into final products.

▸ Select fabrics, trims, and materials with an understanding of quality, durability, and performance.

▸ Ensure designs meet brand guidelines, quality standards, and cost targets.

▸ Create detailed flat sketches (hand-drawn or digital) for each design concept.

▸ Assist in sampling, fitting sessions, and prototype approvals.

▸ Maintain a well-organised design library of patterns, swatches, and references.

▸ Collaborate with the senior designer/management team on seasonal collections.

Required Skills & Qualifications

▸ Diploma / Degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.

▸

▸ Awareness of fabric types, quality parameters, and textile properties.

▸ Strong eye for colour, fit, proportion, and aesthetic detail.

▸ Proficiency in design tools — CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar.

▸ Knowledge of men's wear categories, especially sportswear and activewear.

▸ Ability to create tech packs and communicate design intent to production teams.

▸ Passion for gym, fitness, and sports culture is a strong plus.

Good to Have

▸ Prior internship or project work at a garment / apparel brand or textile company.

▸ Exposure to performance fabrics — dry-fit, spandex blends, moisture-wicking materials.

▸ Basic understanding of garment costing and manufacturing processes.

▸ Portfolio showcasing apparel or fashion design projects.
