About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Catering Operations Manager to establish and manage catering services at our convention center. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end catering operations, including menu planning, food preparation, kitchen management, vendor coordination, staff supervision, food quality, cost control, and service delivery for weddings, corporate events, conferences, and other functions.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end catering operations for events hosted at the convention center.

- Develop attractive menus and catering packages tailored to different event types, guest counts, and budgets.

- Coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and customize menus and service arrangements.

- Manage kitchen operations, food preparation, presentation, quality, hygiene, and timely service.

- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise chefs, kitchen assistants, stewards, and catering service staff.

- Manage food procurement, vendor relationships, inventory, and stock control.

- Prepare event-wise costing, quotations, budgets, and food cost estimates to maintain profitability.

- Coordinate catering logistics, buffet arrangements, live counters, dining layouts, and service timelines.

- Ensure compliance with applicable FSSAI requirements, food safety standards, and hygiene practices.

- Monitor customer feedback, resolve service issues, and continuously improve food quality and guest satisfaction.

- Help grow catering revenue through competitive packages, efficient operations, and excellent client relationships.

Qualifications & Experience

- 3–5+ years of experience in catering management, hotel food and beverage operations, banquet operations, or large-scale event catering.

- Proven experience managing catering teams and serving large gatherings.

- Strong knowledge of menu planning, food costing, procurement, kitchen operations, and food safety.

- Excellent leadership, communication, client-handling, and organizational skills.

- Ability to manage multiple events and deliver quality service under tight timelines.

- Experience in weddings, conventions, corporate events, or banquet catering is highly preferred.
