Job Summary
AOS Products Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a skilled and experienced Industrial Electrician to handle electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and electrical systems.
The candidate should have strong practical knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems, heavy-duty motors, motor control circuits, electrical panels, industrial wiring, air-conditioning connections, and electrical fault finding.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance
Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems.
Carry out electrical maintenance of machinery, production equipment, motors, pumps, compressors, and other plant equipment.
Diagnose electrical faults and ensure quick restoration of equipment.
Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance as required.
Inspect electrical equipment, wiring, panels, switches, and connections regularly.
3-Phase Electrical Systems
Good practical knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems and connections.
Knowledge of 3-phase motor wiring, phase sequence, star-delta connections, and motor rotation.
Ability to identify and rectify phase-related faults, voltage issues, loose connections, and electrical breakdowns.
Knowledge of electrical load distribution and basic electrical safety practices.
Heavy Motors & Motor Control
Experience in installation and maintenance of heavy-duty 3-phase motors.
Strong knowledge of motor control circuits and connections.
Practical knowledge of:
DOL starters
Star-Delta starters
Contactors and overload relays
Motor protection systems
Control transformers
Push-button control circuits
Timers and relays
MCB/MCCB and other protective devices
Troubleshoot motor starting, tripping, overheating, and control-circuit problems.
Electrical Panels & Industrial Wiring
Installation, wiring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical control panels.
Ability to read and understand basic electrical wiring diagrams and circuit diagrams.
Check and maintain MCBs, MCCBs, contactors, relays, fuses, terminals, cables, and other electrical components.
Ensure proper cable termination and safe electrical connections.
Identify loose, burnt, damaged, or overheated electrical connections.
AC & Utility Connections
Practical knowledge of industrial and commercial AC electrical connections.
Installation and maintenance of electrical connections for split/window/industrial AC units as applicable.
Troubleshoot electrical faults in AC power supply, isolators, contactors, capacitors, and related electrical components.
Coordinate with HVAC technicians for electrical requirements and fault rectification.
Troubleshooting & Preventive Maintenance
Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns in the plant.
Use electrical testing instruments such as multimeter, clamp meter, megger, tester, and other electrical tools.
Conduct routine inspection and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment.
Maintain records of electrical breakdowns, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.
Identify potential electrical problems before they result in equipment breakdown.
Safety Responsibilities
Follow all electrical safety procedures and company safety policies.
Ensure proper isolation of electrical equipment before carrying out maintenance work.
Use appropriate PPE and safety equipment.
Maintain proper earthing and ensure electrical installations are safe.
Report unsafe electrical conditions immediately to the supervisor/maintenance manager.
Follow proper LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures wherever applicable.
Required Skills & Qualifications
ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
2–5 years of relevant industrial electrical experience preferred.
Strong practical knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems.
Good knowledge of heavy motors, starters, control circuits, and industrial electrical panels.
Knowledge of AC electrical connections and troubleshooting.
Ability to read basic electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with electrical testing instruments.
Knowledge of industrial electrical safety practices.
Physically fit and comfortable working in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
Ability to work independently as well as with the maintenance team.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in manufacturing plants, production units, chemical/pharma plants, food-processing units, machinery maintenance, or other industrial environments will be preferred.
