Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Industrial Electrician / Fitter to join our maintenance team. In this dual-focused role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing both complex electrical systems and mechanical machinery within our industrial facility. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who prioritises safety and minimises production downtime through effective preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical Maintenance: Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical components, including PLC systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), motors, generators, control panels, and high-voltage wiring.

• Mechanical Fitting: Align, fit, assemble, and repair mechanical parts, pumps, gearboxes, conveyor systems, and pneumatic/hydraulic machinery.

• Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and scheduled maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems to ensure optimal plant efficiency and prevent breakdowns.

• Diagnostics & Repair: Respond swiftly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults accurately using blueprints, schematics, and diagnostic tools, and execute repairs safely.

• Compliance & Safety: Adhere strictly to all local electrical codes, OSHA regulations, and company safety protocols (including Lockout/Tagout - LOTO).

• Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance work, repairs completed, and parts used within the company's CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).

## Qualifications & Experience

• Education: High School Diploma/GED required. A technical diploma, trade certification, or completed apprenticeship as an Electrician or Mechanical Fitter is highly preferred.

• Licensing: Valid Industrial Electrician License / Journeyman Certification (e.g., [Insert specific local license if applicable, e.g., Red Seal, Wireman's License]).

• Experience: Minimum of [3-5] years of experience working in an industrial manufacturing, processing, or heavy machinery environment.
