Job Description: Electrician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in accordance with relevant codes and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

·         Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

·         Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes and safety standards.

·         Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.

·         Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools.

·         Plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.

·         Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to ensure compatibility and safety.

·         Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.

·         Follow safety procedures and comply with regulations for the safe operation of electrical systems.

Qualifications

·         High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.

·         Proven experience as an electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.

·         Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.

·         Strong understanding of safety procedures and legal regulations.

·         Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals.

·         Good communication and problem-solving skills.

·         Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments.

Working Conditions

This role may require working in indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes in confined spaces or at heights. Electricians may need to work during weekends, holidays, or after hours depending on project requirements.
