Job Title
Electrician – BMU & Façade Access Systems
Job Purpose
To carry out electrical assembly, wiring, installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance of Building Maintenance Units (BMUs), suspended access equipment, monorail systems and other façade access systems, ensuring quality, reliability and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and control schematics.
Perform panel wiring, machine wiring, cable routing and electrical terminations.
Install and connect motors, limit switches, sensors, contactors, relays, VFDs and control components.
Assemble and wire electrical control panels for BMUs and associated equipment.
Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical faults during manufacturing, installation and commissioning.
Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance at factory and project sites.
Inspect electrical components and identify defective or unsafe equipment.
Ensure proper earthing, cable management, insulation and electrical safety.
Support site installation and commissioning teams as required.
Maintain records of testing, repairs and replaced components.
Follow approved drawings, quality procedures and site safety requirements.
Keep tools, equipment and work areas clean and properly maintained.
Qualifications & Experience
ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
2–5 years of experience in industrial electrical work, machinery, cranes, hoists, BMUs or similar equipment preferred.
Experience in control panel wiring and motor control circuits is desirable.
Ability to use electrical testing instruments such as multimeters and insulation testers.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot faults.
Knowledge of motors, control circuits, contactors, relays and limit switches.
Understanding of electrical safety procedures.
Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.
Willingness to travel to project sites and work at height when required.
Physically fit and safety conscious.
Preferred Experience
Experience in BMUs, suspended access equipment, hoists, winches or façade access systems will be an added advantage. The role should support equipment that requires electrical systems, controls, safety devices, inspection and maintenance, consistent with the company’s focus on façade access solutions and international safety standards.
