College bus drivers are primarily responsible for the safe and punctual transportation of students and staff, adhering strictly to traffic laws and campus safety policies. Duties include performing daily vehicle inspections, maintaining discipline on board, keeping the bus clean, and operating vehicles for scheduled routes or special events.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Vehicle Safety & Maintenance: Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, including checking tires, lights, brakes, and fuel levels. Ensure the bus is clean and fueled, and report any mechanical issues to the transport manager immediately.

• Passenger Safety & Discipline: Ensure all passengers are seated safely, maintain order on the bus, and manage student behavior according to institutional policies.

• Operational Compliance: Obey all traffic laws and school-specific regulations, including strict adherence to routes and schedules.

• Emergency Response: Handle emergencies, report accidents, and complete necessary incident reports.

• Driver Requirements: Possess a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with proper endorsements, and maintain a good driving record.

• Documentation: Maintain logs for mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts.
