Business Development Manager (BDM)

Location: Hyderabad, Telangana

Role Purpose

To develop new business opportunities, generate qualified leads, build relationships with pharmaceutical companies, and drive sales growth in the Hyderabad and Telangana market.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry.

• Visit pharma companies, manufacturing plants, and prospective clients regularly.

• Generate leads through market visits, references, networking, and cold calling.

• Understand client requirements and coordinate with the technical/quotation team.

• Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, and commercial discussions.

• Maintain regular follow-ups with clients until order closure.

• Maintain accurate CRM/lead databases and submit daily activity reports.

• Coordinate with factory, back office, and management for technical and commercial requirements.

• Achieve assigned monthly/quarterly sales and business development targets.

• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key pharma clients.

Required Skills & Qualification

• Graduate / Diploma in Pharmacy, Engineering, Business Management, or related field preferred.

• Relevant experience in pharma sales / pharma machinery / industrial B2B sales preferred.

• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and client-handling skills.

• Good knowledge of the Hyderabad pharmaceutical market will be an advantage.

• Willingness to travel extensively for client visits.

Mandatory Requirements

• Valid two-wheeler driving licence – Mandatory.

• Own two-wheeler/bike – Mandatory.

• Willingness to travel for field visits and client meetings.

• Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Email, and basic CRM/lead management.
