Job Title: Team Leader – Collections

Job Summary

The Team Leader – Collections is responsible for managing a team of collection agents to ensure timely recovery of outstanding dues. The role involves monitoring team performance, implementing collection strategies, maintaining compliance, and achieving monthly recovery targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of collection executives

• Allocate cases and ensure daily follow-ups on overdue accounts

• Monitor team performance against KPIs (recovery rate, calls, resolution time)

• Develop and implement effective collection strategies

• Handle escalated or difficult customer cases

• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines

• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports

• Coordinate with internal departments (sales, operations, legal)

• Conduct regular training and performance reviews for team members

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Business, or related field preferred)

• 2–5 years of experience in collections/recovery, with at least 1 year in a leadership role

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Leadership and team management ability

• Knowledge of collection tools, CRM systems, and MS Excel

• Ability to handle pressure and meet targets
