Job Description – Business Development Executive
Department: Business Development
Location: Prabhadevi, Mumbai
Experience: 3 – 5 years (Pharma preferred)
Education: B.Pharm / B.Sc / BBA / MBA (Marketing preferred)
Key Responsibilities
1️⃣ Market Development & Lead Generation
● Identify new clients, distributors, stockists, hospitals, or institutional buyers
● Develop business in assigned territory or segment (Domestic / International /
PCD / Tender)
● Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities
● Generate and follow up on qualified leads
2️⃣ Client Relationship Management
● Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers
● Conduct regular client meetings (in-person / virtual)
● Handle product presentations, pricing discussions, and negotiations
● Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business3️⃣ Sales & Revenue Growth
● Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
● Prepare sales forecasts and territory plans
● Monitor competitor activities and pricing strategies
● Support new product launches and promotional strategies
4️⃣ Coordination & Compliance
● Coordinate with Regulatory team for documentation (DCGI, FDA, export docs, etc.
as applicable)
● Coordinate with QA/QC for product specifications and compliance
● Ensure adherence to pharma marketing ethical guidelines
● Support tender documentation and contract compliance
5️⃣ Documentation & Reporting
● Maintain CRM records and client database
● Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports
● Track payment follow-ups and outstanding collections
● Maintain records of agreements, contracts, and proposals
Required Skills & Competencies
● Strong understanding of pharmaceutical products and industry dynamics
● Knowledge of PCD / Institutional / Export business models (as applicable)
● Excellent negotiation and communication skills
● Target-oriented and result-driven mindset
● Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM tools, and reporting
● Ability to travel as per business requirements
