Assistant Manager – SCM

Qualification: Graduate in Engineering / Supply Chain Management; MBA preferred.

Job Purpose

To manage supply chain operations, ensuring timely material availability, optimum inventory levels, efficient procurement coordination, and on-time customer deliveries for the car seat cover manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare material requirement plans (MRP) based on production schedules, customer requirements, and BOM.

•Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality, and Stores teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability.

• Monitor inventory levels, material shortages, stock accuracy, and slow-moving materials.

• Coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries, lead-time management, and material quality issues.

• Manage inbound logistics, finished goods dispatches, and customer delivery schedules.

• Maintain ERP records and prepare MIS reports on inventory, material availability, and supplier performance.

• Identify opportunities to reduce inventory costs, material wastage, and logistics expenses.

• Ensure adherence to supply chain processes and customer delivery commitments.

Required Skills

• Experience in supply chain operations within automotive or manufacturing industries.

• Knowledge of material planning, inventory management, procurement, and logistics.

• Working knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel.

• Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in automotive interiors, seat covers, or textile manufacturing will be preferred.
