Job Title: Education Counsellor (Computer Training Institute)

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Education Counsellor to guide and support students interested in professional IT courses. The counsellor will be responsible for advising BCA/MCA students and graduates about career-oriented programs such as Data Analyst, Data Scientist, and Full Stack Development (Java/.NET). The role involves understanding student career goals, explaining course benefits, and assisting them in selecting the right training program.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel and guide students regarding IT training programs such as:

  • Data Analyst

  • Data Scientist

  • Full Stack Development (Java / .NET) and other courses

• Provide detailed information about course structure, duration, curriculum, and career opportunities.

• Handle walk-in inquiries, phone calls, and online leads.

• Maintain student inquiry records and follow up with prospective students.

• Assist students with admission procedures and documentation.

• Coordinate with the training and academic team for student onboarding.

• Conduct seminars, webinars, and career guidance sessions.

• Achieve monthly admission targets.

• Build strong relationships with colleges and students.

Required Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong counselling and persuasion abilities

• Basic understanding of IT courses and career opportunities

• Ability to explain technical programs in simple language

• Good presentation and negotiation skills

• Knowledge of CRM or Excel for maintaining leads

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Computer Science, or related field

• Experience in education counselling, admission counselling, or sales

• Experience in IT training institutes will be preferred

Experience

• 2+ years in education counselling / student counselling

• Freshers with excellent communication skills can also apply

Preferred Candidate

• Experience dealing with BCA/MCA students

• Knowledge of IT industry career paths

• Target-oriented and proactive personality
