Key Responsibilities:
An Admission Counsellor (or Admissions Counselor) acts as the primary link between an educational institution and prospective students. Their main goal is to recruit, guide, and enroll students by providing detailed information about academic programs, admissions criteria, and campus life.
Key Responsibilities
Prospective Student Outreach: Conducting informational sessions, campus tours, and webinars for students and their families.
Admissions Guidance: Advising applicants on admission requirements, application deadlines, eligibility, and program costs.
Application Review: Evaluating applications and academic records to determine eligibility and assist in making final admission decisions.
Recruitment Events: Representing the institution at college fairs, high school visits, and community outreach events.
Communication & Follow-up: Maintaining regular contact with leads via phone, email, and social media to ensure timely completion of applications.
Data Management: Using CRM software to track recruitment activities, student interactions, and application statuses.
Financial Aid Support: Providing basic information regarding scholarships and financial aid options.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Usually requires a Bachelor's degree.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking for group presentations.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships with diverse student populations and handle sensitive information with empathy.
Organization: Strong time-management abilities to handle high volumes of applications and multi-task effectively.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Admissions Databases/CRM.
Job Requirements:
The minimum qualification for this role is A degree and 1-2 yrs . You will be responsible for resolving customer complaints, offering relevant information, and escalating complex issues to the appropriate department when necessary.
