Job Overview:
We are hiring two experienced North Indian Helper Cooks to assist our head cook in preparing and serving pure vegetarian North Indian dishes at our food court. The ideal candidates should be skilled in basic North Indian cooking methods, vegetable prep, and kitchen hygiene. This is a fast-paced environment, so efficiency, cleanliness, and teamwork are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist the head cook in preparing and cooking pure vegetarian North Indian dishes (e.g., curries, gravies, rotis, rice, snacks, etc.)
· Handle chopping, kneading dough, grinding, and other prep work.
· Maintain cleanliness of utensils, workstations, and equipment.
· Support during peak hours with cooking, serving, and replenishment.
· Ensure hygienic food handling and waste disposal practices.
· Help in organizing raw materials and managing daily stock.
· Comply with food court safety and hygiene standards.
Requirements:
· Minimum 2 years of experience in a North Indian kitchen (restaurant, canteen, or food court).
· Strong understanding of vegetarian-only cooking practices.
· Ability to work under supervision in a high-volume setup.
· Familiarity with common North Indian recipes and preparation techniques.
· Physically fit and willing to work long hours in a hot kitchen environment.
· Good teamwork and discipline.
Preferred:
· Experience in food court, hotel, or large-scale catering units.
· Knowledge of basic food safety standards.
· Ability to understand basic instructions in Hindi or the local language.
