The Commis 1 – Tandoor is responsible for preparing and cooking Indian breads and tandoor items while maintaining high standards of hygiene, quality, and consistency. The role supports the Tandoor Chef in daily kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook tandoor items such as roti, naan, kulcha, and kebabs
Operate and maintain the tandoor oven safely
Assist the Tandoor Chef in food preparation and service
Ensure proper marination, dough preparation, and portion control
Maintain cleanliness of the tandoor area and equipment
Follow food safety, hygiene, and hotel SOP standards
Store food items correctly and reduce wastage
Support smooth kitchen operations during service hours
