Job Description: Indian & Tandoor Chef

An Indian & Tandoor Chef is responsible for preparing authentic Indian cuisine, with a strong focus on tandoor-cooked dishes, while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian dishes, including curries, breads, and tandoor items

• Operate and manage the tandoor oven safely and efficiently

• Marinate meats, seafood, and vegetables using traditional spices and techniques

• Prepare fresh naan, roti, and other Indian breads

• Ensure consistent taste, portion size, and presentation

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen according to food safety standards

• Manage inventory, ingredients, and proper food storage

• Assist in menu planning and development

• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service

Skills & Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Indian/Tandoor Chef

• Strong knowledge of Indian spices, herbs, and cooking techniques

• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

• Attention to detail and consistency

• Good time management and teamwork skills
