1. Language Proficiency & Input: You must be able to READ AND UNDERSTAND ENGLISH PLUS HINDI OR MARATHI in Devanagari script, OR BENGALI OR TAMIL, and spot errors/mistakes in subtitles. This skill is used daily and tested at every assessment stage. Special script keyboards are NOT required: typing is done via Google Input Tools (e.g., typing 'ladki', 'mulgi', 'meye', or 'pen' phonetically in English letters converts automatically into the respective script). Candidates literate in multiple target languages are especially welcome.

2. Work Arrangement: This is a strictly FULL-TIME, IN-OFFICE role based at Rajnagar Colony, Uppal, Hyderabad. Work-from-home (WFH) and hybrid models are NOT available at joining.

3. Work Timings: 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday, from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

4. Compensation: Fixed fresher pay band (₹ 2.25 – 2.50 Lacs P.A.). Disclosed transparently prior to interview scheduling; non-negotiable.

About the Work

SKEPICK prepares subtitles, closed captions, and audio descriptions for Indian language shows streaming on major OTT platforms and television networks. As a Transcription Executive, your core responsibility is to inspect, verify, and correct subtitle/caption files against synchronized audio and video tracks (in Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, or Tamil alongside English) until they meet broadcast-ready quality standards.

Nature of Work: This is an intensive, seated, screen- and headphone-based quality control role. Reviewing an episode demands sustained focus, patience, and meticulous attention to nuance over several hours. Candidates who take pride in fine-grained precision and complete task thoroughness thrive here; the role is not suited for individuals seeking field movement or rapid task variety.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

· Review assigned video episodes thoroughly and cross-check every subtitle/caption against spoken dialogue and audio cues.

· Identify and rectify errors in spelling, grammar, subtitle sync timing, line breaks, length, and viewer reading speed.

· Input text corrections in Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, and English utilizing Google Input Tools phonetic typing.

· Strictly follow established client and in-house style guides, formatting parameters, and Quality Check (QC) checklists without cutting corners.

· Proactively flag doubtful phrases, unclear audio, or ambiguous terminology for supervisor review instead of guessing.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

· Language Literacy: Ability to read and accurately evaluate sentences in Hindi or Marathi (Devanagari script), Bengali, or Tamil (mandatory requirement; thoroughly assessed during evaluation). Prior typing speed in regional scripts is not mandatory as training is provided.

· English Proficiency: Strong written English comprehension and grammatical skills.

· Experience Level: Open to freshers and graduates across any stream (UG: Graduation not strictly required; no prior captioning background needed).

· Location Proximity: Must reside within a reasonable and manageable daily commuting distance of Uppal, Hyderabad.

· Mindset & Attributes: Patient, diligent, honest, detail-focused, and comfortable raising queries ('I am not sure') rather than making uninformed assumptions.

Selection Process
