Job Summary:

The Billing Cashier is responsible for handling billing transactions, preparing invoices, receiving payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing excellent customer service at the billing counter. This role ensures smooth and accurate financial operations in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Generate and issue invoices/bills to customers accurately and on time.

Receive payments through cash, credit/debit cards, UPI, or other approved modes.

Verify billing details, discounts, and taxes before finalizing transactions.

Maintain proper cash handling procedures, including balancing the cash drawer daily.

Record all financial transactions in the system and reconcile discrepancies.

Prepare daily sales and collection reports and submit them to the finance/accounting department.

Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing, receipts, and account balances.

Ensure proper documentation and filing of invoices, receipts, and related financial records.

Follow company policies for returns, refunds, and credit notes.

Coordinate with other departments (sales, inventory, front office, etc.) to resolve billing issues.

Maintain a clean and organized cashier/billing counter.

Adhere to financial confidentiality and data protection standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: High school diploma or bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, or a related field.

Experience: 0–3 years of experience as a cashier, billing executive, or in a similar finance/accounting role.

Skills:

Proficiency in billing software (e.g., Tally, ERP, POS systems).

Strong numerical and data entry skills.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to handle transactions efficiently under pressure.
