Job Description – Cashier

Position: Cashier
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible, honest, and customer-focused Cashier to manage billing, cash transactions, and daily financial activities efficiently. The ideal candidate should have good numerical skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service abilities while ensuring accurate cash handling and record maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all cash, card, UPI, and digital payment transactions accurately.

• Generate bills and issue invoices to customers.

• Maintain the cash counter and ensure smooth billing operations.

• Verify cash received and reconcile the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.

• Prepare daily cash reports and submit them to the Accounts Department.

• Maintain accurate transaction records and receipts.

• Resolve customer billing queries professionally.

• Coordinate with the kitchen, service staff, and management to ensure smooth customer service.

• Report any cash discrepancies or system issues immediately.

• Maintain confidentiality of financial transactions.

• Ensure the billing area is clean, organized, and presentable.

• Follow company policies, financial procedures, and statutory requirements.

• Support administrative tasks related to billing and documentation when required.

• No drinking or smoking during working hours.

Requirements

• Minimum qualification: PUC/12th Pass or Graduate in any discipline.

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cashier, preferably in a restaurant, hotel, retail, or hospitality industry.

• Good knowledge of POS billing systems, MS Excel, and basic computer operations.

• Familiarity with cash handling, UPI, card payments, and digital transactions.

• Good communication skills in Kannada. Knowledge of Hindi and English is preferred.

• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.

• Honest, trustworthy, well-groomed, and customer-oriented.

• Ability to work under pressure and handle peak business hours efficiently.

Working Hours

• 6 days a week.

• Working Hours - 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM and will have break for 3 hours in between.
