Furniture factory supervisor

We are looking for a Furniture factory supervisor to join our team at P.S.Y. Design & Interiors to take on furniture making, installation and wooden repairs across residential and commercial projects. This role offers a competitive in-hand salary of ₹20,000 - ₹40,000 and regular work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read measurements, drawings and blueprints accurately

• Cut, shape and assemble wood for furniture and fixtures

• Repair damaged structures or wooden surfaces

• Install doors, windows and cabinets as per client needs

• Maintain quality craftsmanship and workplace safety

• Pre production cutting plan optimization software nesting

• financials estimation bill of quantities labour costing

• Operations production shop floor management machine maintained

• final stage quality check Vernier callipers moisture meters squareness checks

Job Requirements:

The minimum qualification for this role is Graduate and 3 - 6+ years of experience. Basic knowledge of tools like saws, drills, hammers and wall panelling is a plus.

Cutting plans : The manager must be proficient in creating cutting lists and nesting diagrams.

Material Calculation : Beyond just wood this includes calculating the exact requirement for hardware adhesives edge banding and finishes.

Workflow Design : Organization the factory floor so that material moves logically from the cutting station to edge banding boring assembly and finally polishing.

Material integrity: Ensuring the moisture content of the wood is appropriate to prevent future warping or checking.
