Carpenter:
1. Job Description: Building frameworks for houses, including walls, floors, and roofs, installing doors, windows, staircases, and cabinets, constructing and erecting scaffolding and other temporary structures and building and installing furniture and other wooden fixtures.
Understanding and following blueprints and technical drawings, accurately measuring and calculating dimensions, selecting and cutting lumber and other materials, shaping and smoothing wood using hand and power tools.
Inspecting and repairing damaged wooden structures, maintaining and repairing tools and equipment, adhering to safety regulations and building codes, using safety equipment and procedures., working with other construction professionals, such as architects and contractors.
3. Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent is often required.
a. Vocational training or apprenticeship programs are highly beneficial.
b. College courses in carpentry or construction technology can provide advanced skills.
4. Technical Skills:
a. Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
