A Junior Technical Assistant (JTA) provides administrative and basic technical support, assisting senior staff with daily tasks like managing records, handling communications (emails, calls), maintaining equipment, ensuring safety, and supporting operations in various fields, from IT and engineering to warehousing. They perform clerical duties, help with inventory, troubleshoot minor issues, and work to ensure smooth workflow under supervision, bridging administrative needs with technical requirements. 

Key Responsibilities

• Administrative Support: Answering phones, drafting correspondence (emails, letters), managing schedules, filing, and handling mail.

• Technical Assistance: Assisting engineers/senior staff with equipment, basic troubleshooting, running tests, preparing reports, and maintaining records.

• Inventory & Logistics: Managing stock, overseeing goods handling (receipt, storage, dispatch), and participating in audits (especially in warehousing roles).

• Safety & Compliance: Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company policies, reporting issues.

• Data Management: Updating statements, managing digital storage, and data entry. 

Essential Skills

• Communication: Strong written and verbal skills for liaising with teams and clients.

• Technical Aptitude: Ability to learn and operate basic machinery or software.

• Organization: Excellent filing, record-keeping, and time management.

• Problem-Solving: Identifying and reporting discrepancies or issues.
