job Description duties and responsibilities:

There are many duties for Production Supervisors, but the major one is to ensure the manufacturing process remains smooth and efficient by organizing workflows and monitoring staff. They direct, train, and assist lower-level manufacturing and production workers. More of their regular duties and responsibilities include:

Supervising operations within a facility to achieve higher output. Organizing training and educational manuals for the production team Assisting in the recruitment and on-boarding of new hires

Ensuring compliance with safety and professional standards within a facility Organizing, monitoring, and prioritizing tasks to meet production goals

Evaluating various stations of the production operation to ensure optimum efficiency

Maintaining communication between employees and senior executives to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood

Ensuring the flow of raw materials and other resources

Skills and Qualifications:

A good Production Supervisor is an individual who is able to coordinate and motivate multi-talented production employees in a factory. Some of the qualifications and skills they need to succeed in the role include:

Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment

Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic

Ability to create and adhere to production processes Ability to write reports legibly and accurately

Relevant training and certification in industrial production, engineering, or any related field

Experience: Direct experience in a manufacturing plant and at least 2 years as a supervisory role. Ideally, these experiences should be in relevant industries.

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, engineering. A high school diploma with many years

experiences can also suffice.
