Supervisor

Key Responsibilities1. Production & Operations

• Supervise daily metal fabrication activities including cutting, bending, welding, machining, and assembly.

• Allocate tasks and manage workflow to meet production schedules and quality standards.

• Ensure all fabrication work aligns with design drawings, specifications, and client requirements.

• Monitor machine performance and coordinate timely maintenance to reduce downtime.

2. Quality Assurance

• Inspect fabricated components to ensure dimensional accuracy and finishing quality.

• Identify defects, suggest corrective actions, and ensure rework is completed promptly.

• Maintain quality records and support continuous improvement initiatives.

3. Team Management

• Lead, train, and mentor a team of welders, fabricators, and helpers.

• Conduct performance evaluations and ensure skill development.

• Foster a disciplined, safe, and productive workplace environment.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Enforce safety standards and use of PPE according to company and statutory guidelines.

• Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure safe handling of equipment and materials.

• Report incidents, near misses, and ensure corrective/preventive actions.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain production logs, attendance, equipment usage reports, and material consumption records.

• Coordinate with the stores team for material planning and inventory control.

• Provide daily and weekly production reports to management.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical, Fabrication, Welding, or related field (preferred).

• 10+ years of experience in metal fabrication; 5+ years in a supervisory role.

• Strong knowledge of welding techniques (MIG/TIG/Arc), CNC cutting, and fabrication processes.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

• Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with safety protocols and industrial standards.
