Job Description – Purchase Executive

Department: Purchase / Procurement
Designation: Purchase Executive
Experience: 1–3 Years (Freshers with relevant skills can also apply)
Location: Nagpur

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities, coordinate with vendors, ensure timely availability of materials, and maintain cost-effective purchasing operations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities (KRA)

1. Identify and evaluate suppliers/vendors for materials and products.

2. Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) as per company requirements.

3. Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.

4. Coordinate with internal departments to understand material requirements.

5. Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.

6. Maintain purchase records, quotations, invoices, and vendor databases.

7. Compare quotations and ensure cost-effective purchasing.

8. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the stores department.

9. Resolve issues related to material quality, quantity, and delivery.

10. Prepare regular purchase reports and maintain documentation.

Required Skills

1. Good negotiation and vendor management skills.

2. Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.

3. Strong communication and coordination skills.

4. Basic knowledge of purchase processes and inventory management.

5. Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or any relevant field.

• Experience in procurement or purchasing will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate

• Ability to handle multiple purchase requirements.

• Good follow-up and coordination skills.

• Detail-oriented with a cost-conscious approach.
