Purchase Executive

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to manage the company’s procurement activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing products, negotiating with vendors, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining accurate purchase records while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers

• Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely procurement of materials

• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers

• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with stores/operations to avoid shortages

• Ensure materials meet required quality standards and specifications

• Maintain proper documentation of purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes

• Track and follow up on pending orders and resolve supply-related issues

• Coordinate with accounts for invoice verification and payments

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures

• Prepare purchase reports and vendor performance records

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field

• Proven experience as a Purchase Executive or similar role

• Good negotiation and vendor management skills

• Strong communication and coordination abilities

• Knowledge of inventory management and procurement processes

• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and basic documentation

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills

• Experience in vendor sourcing and cost optimization

• Understanding of local and national supply markets

• Basic knowledge of GST and billing processes
