About the Role

We’re looking for a tech-savvy Project Manager to lead our AI/ML development initiatives from concept to deployment. You’ll work directly with engineers, data scientists, and leadership to translate ideas into deliverables, keeping projects on track, aligned with goals, and executed with precision.

This role blends technical fluency, AI/ML understanding, and project management expertise. You’ll leverage tools like Jira, Asana, or custom dashboards — potentially integrating AI assistants (like ChatGPT or Copilot) — to streamline workflows, automate reporting, and enhance communication.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Collaborate with product and technical stakeholders to define project goals, milestones, and deliverables.

• Translate business requirements into actionable development plans with clear technical scope.

• Develop project timelines, resource plans, and sprint structures using agile methodologies.

• Break down complex AI/ML initiatives into structured development tasks aligned with the SDLC.

Task Management & Tracking

• Utilize tools such as Jira, Trello, Monday.com, or Asana, enhanced by AI-based tracking assistants, to manage progress and deliverables.

• Lead daily/weekly stand-ups to ensure progress visibility and early issue identification.

• Anticipate blockers — from data bottlenecks to model training delays — and coordinate rapid resolutions.

Reporting & Communication

• Generate clear, data-driven progress reports using dashboards or AI-assisted analytics.

• Deliver concise status updates to leadership and stakeholders on timelines, risks, and metrics.

• Maintain transparent communication across teams, ensuring alignment between technical and business goals.

Team Coordination

• Foster seamless collaboration between developers, ML engineers, and data scientists.

• Support technical discussions when needed — helping translate between business requirements and implementation details.

• Cultivate a motivated, high-performance culture within a fast-paced startup environment.

Process Optimization

• Continuously improve project management workflows using automation and AI-driven insights.

• Identify bottlenecks and integrate new tools or best practices to enhance productivity and predictability.

• Stay up-to-date on AI/ML development trends and agile management methodologies.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of project management experience in a tech or software development environment.

• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile/scrum frameworks.

• Hands-on experience with project management tools (Jira, Asana, Trello, or Monday.com).

• Solid grasp of AI/ML concepts (e.g., model training cycles, data pipelines, deployment workflows).

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

• Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple technical projects simultaneously.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.

Bonus Points

• PMP, Agile, or Scrum certifications.

• Practical exposure to AI/ML tools and frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, etc.).

• Experience working in startups or fast-paced tech environments.

• Familiarity with AI project assistants like ChatGPT, Copilot, or custom LLM tools for planning and communication.
