An Operation Theatre (OT) Assistant prepares and maintains the surgical suite, assists doctors and nurses during operations, and sterilizes medical instruments. (Note: If you meant an Occupational Therapy Assistant instead, they help patients recover daily living and motor skills under a therapist's direction.
Core Responsibilities

• Room Preparation: Set up the operating room, surgical trays, lights, and sterile drapes before procedures.

• Surgical Support: Pass instruments, monitor equipment, and assist the surgical team as directed.

• Infection Control: Clean, disinfect, and sterilize equipment and dispose of medical waste safely.

• Patient Care: Transport patients safely and help position them properly on the operating table.
  
  Key Skills and Requirements
  

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of surgical tools and sterilization protocols.

  • Qualifications: Diploma or certificate in Operation Theatre Technology (DOTT) or relevant clinical experience.
