Core responsibilities
Project leadership:
Lead and manage architectural projects from the initial concept phase through to the final completion.
Client relations:
Meet with clients to understand their needs, present project proposals, and act as the primary point of contact.
Design and development:
Oversee the creation and refinement of architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications, including making necessary alterations based on client feedback.
Compliance:
Ensure all designs and projects comply with building codes, zoning laws, safety regulations, and sustainability standards.
Team and stakeholder coordination:
Collaborate with and coordinate other professionals, including engineers, contractors, and consultants.
Project management:
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, monitoring progress and ensuring delivery within scope.
Mentorship:
Supervise and mentor junior architects and design staff.
Site visits:
Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure the quality of work.
Required skills and qualifications
Technical proficiency:
Expertise in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and project management principles.
Soft skills:
Excellent communication, leadership, critical thinking, and presentation skills are essential for managing teams and clients.
Experience:
A minimum number of years of experience, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects.
